This is my first post in the Episodes Category, i will post about the episodes in their televised order in between other posts and categories.
Crush was the pilot episode of Kim Possible where it all began and for this reason alone is one of my favorites. Despite being the pilot Crush is not the first story chronologically as Kim and Drakken already know each other (however they meet for the first time in the episode Tick Tick Tick).
The episode first aired on Disney Channel on June 7th 2002, 14 years ago this coming Tuesday.
Crush centers around two plot lines Dr.Drakken’s Plot and Kim’s Crush on Josh Mankey.
It’s the week of Middleton High’s Spirit Week Dance and Kim is determined to ask Josh Mankey to the dance but finds herself unable to speak properly around him when there alone. Meanwhile Drakken has broken into the factory of Mr. Nakasumi San in Tokyo, Japan. Upon arrival Kim is informed that there are two hostages inside. Kim swoops in to save the hostages, using Ron as a distraction but fails to prevent Drakken and shego escaping with the assembly line. Back at school Kim repeatedly fails to ask Josh to the dance and even destroys the banner he made for the dance accidentally, while Ron Asks everyone, with no luck. Kim and team head to Drakken’s lair to find he has transformed the assembly line into a giant robot which he controls from the inside. Kim uses her cheerleading skills to save the day- with a little help from Ron’s distraction skills and wade’s computer genius. Ron convinces Kim that after defeating an international super freak Josh is no big, so she plucks up the courage to ash him to the dance. Josh says yes and Ron ends up in a closet.
